The Visit to Louvre Museum With Audio Guide gives you admission to the world’s most visited museum. To collect your ticket and audio guide you should make your way to 2 rue des Pyramides, 75001, Paris. You will also be given a helpful map giving various itineraries around the Louvre.
The Louvre hosts over 35,000 pieces of artwork spanning over 60,000 square meters of exhibition space. It has been estimated it would take nine months just to go round and look quickly at every work. But with the itineraries given on your route map you can focus on the major works such as: the Venus de Milo, the Coronation of Napoleon I and Leonardo de Vinci's Mona Lisa, while the audio-guide (available in nine languages) provides valuable background information.
All audio guides must be returned to 2 rue des Pyramides at the end of the tour.
Please call the activity operator at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour to confirm all details.
Once you have collected your tickets and audio guide the fastest access will be from the entrance which is down stairs (basement), in the inverted Pyramid hall (note if you join any other queue you will be waiting with people who need to buy tickets and therefore the wait time could be very long)
For your audio-guide a 30€ deposit is required and returned at the end of the tour.
Children below 18 years are free to enter the Museum, the charge levied is for the audio guide.
The Louvre Museum closes at 10:00pm on Wednesday and Friday and at 6:00pm on other open days.
Voucher information: You must print and surrender a paper version of your booking voucher for this activity (showing your voucher on a smartphone is not accepted). No refund can be given for customers without a printed copy of their voucher.
We had a tough time finding our way in to the museum. Stood in the queue for tickets for quite some time due to ignorance. Some written guidelines with a map should be provided in the beginning itself at the office in this regard. Audio device was also of not much use.
The audio guide leaflet could be better and more detailed.
