On arrival in Versailles you will cycle to the famous city market to shop for picnic supplies (price not included). Then you will stop for a picnic at the end of the Grand Canal in the exact same spot where Kings Louis XIV, XV and XVI dined as they marveled at their house at the far end.
You will also visit the Chateau, the Grand & Petit Trianons and the Hall of Mirrors.

Meeting point is a small park clearing on Avenue Emile Zola opposite a café named “Café Regalia”.
How to reach: The closest metro station is Javel – Andre Citroen (Line 10). Use exit 1 (sortie 1, right side). The easiest taxi address is for the cafe: 1, Rue de la Convention, 75015 Paris.
Your guide will be wearing a Fat Tire Tours t-shirt along with a logo or sign that would be easily identifiable.
Please report at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start time. This is mandatory to allow time for pre-departure briefing.
The tour ends at Versailles
This tour departs from 1, Rue de la Convention, 75015 Paris outside a café named "Café Regalia". The closest métro station is Javel-André Citroën (line 10). After reaching Versailles by train, you will head straight to the Palace of Versailles where you will collect your bikes and begin your biking tour accompanied by an English speaking guide.

The Versailles Food Market: Visit the famous Versailles market to shop for your picnic supplies (price not included).
The Versailles Gardens: Bike through the gardens and also see the parts which otherwise you cannot see on foot. These world-famous gardens are alone worth the trip to Versailles.
The Hall of Mirrors: See this hall in the palace of Versailles. This was the site of the signing of the treaty that ended World War I. From here, you can admire the beautiful view over the Versailles Gardens.
The King’s State Apartments: See the bedrooms of both King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette.
Grand Canal: Admire the views along the Grand Canal as you enjoy your picnic here.
Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet: We will ride past Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet, where the queen stayed disguised as a peasant girl in order to escape her court.
Grand and Petit Trianons: Built by Kings Louis XIV and XV respectively, they offer a fantastic view into the original Versailles and the opulence the royalty enjoyed.
The tour ends at Versailles from where you can return to Paris on your own. Your guide can also help you with directions to the station if you wish to catch the train to Paris.
