Leave Paris and travel through stunning countryside to Champagne; a picturesque region of France with neatly tended vineyards and small villages, it is, of course famous the world over for the sublime sparkling wine it produces.
Your 10.5 hour trip includes a guided morning tour of Reims; the capital of the Champagne Region, you will visit Reims Cathedral where French Monarchy are crowned and have time to explore independently.
You will enjoy tours of two of the world’s most famous Champagne Houses; Mercier and the House of Mumm. You will be able to explore the vineyards and cellars, and of course, taste some of the fine champagnes for which they are so renowned.
You will also travel through the Reims Mountain Regional Park to Epernay and get a chance to discover the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Accompanied by a qualified guide-interpreter you will travel along the Champagne Tourist Route, past neatly tended vineyards dotted with small villages.
You will begin your excursion with an audio guided tour of the cellars of the famous Mumm Champagne House, where you will learn about their expertise and the secrets behind the creation of their many Champagnes. After your visit you will taste the famous "Red Ribbon" Champagne, one of the most popular Champagnes in the world.
Your tour continues with a guided tour of Reims's imposing Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. A Gothic masterpiece and site of the coronations of the Kings of France, it is also well-known for its many statues and extraordinary 13th-Century stained glass windows.
After that you will have some free time to explore Reims city center, this is the perfect time for lunch and you will find many excellent restaurants in beautiful Erlon Square.
Next you will begin your afternoon discovering the surrounding countryside and its pretty villages, forests and prestigious Champagne vineyards.
On arrival in Epernay, visit your second Champagne house of the day, Mercier, founded in 1858. With an informative audio-guide, you will travel by an automated train to a depth of 100 feet to visit the huge cellars, before finishing your tour with a Champagne tasting.
At the end of the tour you will board you air-conditioned coach and return back to Paris.
