This perfume making workshop in Paris takes you through the fine art of perfume making.
Gain an insight into the origin of the Eau de Cologne, which can actually be traced to Florence and not Paris. Learn to smell and describe the ingredients of an eau de cologne and also gain an understanding of the constituents and characteristics belonging to different families of odours.
This is also a hands-on experience and you will use your newly found knowledge to create your own perfume.

The workshop takes place at Perfume Studio, 7, rue Vineuse. The limited numbers make for an intimate experience and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to interact with the guide.
The first part of the workshop focuses on a discussion on the origin of the Eau de Cologne in Florence in 1221 at the convent of Santa Maria Novella. Also get an insight into their uses in medicine. There will also be a discussion about the key ingredients used in making a perfume and the evolution of the production process around 1725 in the city of Cologne.
In the first half, you will learn to smell and describe the ingredients of an eau de cologne and also gain an understanding of the constituents and characteristics belonging to different families of odours. This will be followed by a discussion of the development of different kinds of Cologne and Eaux Fraiches on the market.
The second half of the workshop is the practical part. After having smelled the different types of Cologne & Eaux Fraiches, your will be shown a very simple method to create your very own fragrance.
