Board your luxury air conditioned coach and accompanied by a qualified guide-interpreter you will travel along the Champagne Tourist Route, past neatly tended vineyards dotted with small villages.
Discover the history and secrets of the champagne, the king of wines in the famed Champagne Tourist Route, in the heart of champagne country.
The first part of the journey will comprise of a morning tour of the city of Rheims, capital of the Champagne region. There will be a stopover at Rheims Cathedral for guided tour around this Gothic masterpiece, where kings of France were crowned.
This will be followed by a visit to one of the world-renowned champagne houses, House of Mumm. Located in the heart of the champagne region, the House of Mumm dates back to 1827. You will be taken around to see its vat room, cellars and production facilities. Learn about the harvesting, processing and bottling followed by a free tasting of its world-famous wines.
There will be some free time for lunch (payable direct) and city walks.
In the early afternoon, journey through Rheims Mountain Regional Park to Epernay.
Enjoy a guided tour of the Moët and Chandon cellars in Epernay and get an invaluable insight into the making of this prestigious label. Its quality comes from the skill of its oenologists and the experience of cellar masters down the generations.
Savor a glass of champagne at the end of your guided tour. Visit its shop and discover the celebrated Dom Pérignon.
